There is vaccine and antibiotics for diseases but there is no aid for hunger which is a big cause for malnutrition. Malnutrition is a condition of lack of sufficient nutrients in the body that helps to keep the body healthy and ready to fight diseases. According to WHO, 462 million people are undernourished worldwide. There is an estimate that 20 million people die every year due to hunger and malnutrition. Although various government and non-government organizations strive hard to fight against hunger but the reach is not to everyone.
MTBS has taken the initiative to fight against hunger as much as possible by collecting resources and supplying them to the people in need. We have helped many families in the rural areas who were not able to fulfill their stomachs due to the loss of wages in the pandemic. Our aim is to expand our social service to the maximum extent in the future.
Poverty is one of the biggest challenges in society. India’s 6 percent population is still under the extreme poverty line, they cannot afford nutritious food, clothing, medicines, and have a permanent house. Some families even cannot afford to send their kids to schools which is a matter of concern. Their children join their ancestral profession in childhood for their living. If this trend continues their children will be unskilled laborers which will lead to unemployment issues.
